Booking Terms
Booking & Payment
A £50 booking deposit is required to secure your session date. The deposit forms part of the total session price and is not an additional charge.
The remaining balance is payable on the day of your session once the session is confirmed as going ahead.
Weather
If weather conditions make an outdoor equestrian or dog photography session unsuitable or unsafe, the session can be rearranged without penalty and the booking deposit transferred to the new date.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
With at least 24 hours' notice, the booking deposit can normally be transferred to one alternative agreed date.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is given or a client does not attend, an appropriate amount of the booking deposit may be retained to reflect reasonable costs or losses.
Animal Health & Welfare
Genuine animal illness, injury, lameness or veterinary and welfare concerns can be accommodated by rearranging the session and transferring the booking deposit.
Safety
Safety and animal welfare take priority at all times. A setup or session may be paused, changed or stopped if it is reasonably considered unsafe.
Session Times
Standard Sessions include up to 60 minutes of photography.
Extended Sessions include up to 90 minutes of photography.
Reasonable flexibility is allowed when working with animals. Significant additional photography time will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
Travel
Travel is calculated using the one-way distance from Corby Hill, Cumbria to the agreed session location.
Up to 10 miles — included
Over 10–20 miles — £15
Over 20–30 miles — £25
Over 30 miles — quoted individually
Group & Yard Bookings
Where two or more clients book individual photography sessions at the same yard, venue or agreed immediate location on the same day, one applicable travel charge may be shared equally between the confirmed bookings.
Each client books their own Standard or Extended Session and their booking is confirmed once the £50 booking deposit has been paid. Only confirmed bookings are included when calculating the shared travel charge.
Travel shares are finalised 48 hours before the first session. Once finalised, a client's agreed travel share will not increase if another participant subsequently cancels.
Shared travel applies to sessions taking place at the same location. If additional travel between separate locations is requested, any additional travel charge will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
Private Gallery
Following the session, Barry Henderson Photography carefully selects the best photographs and presents them in a private online proof gallery.
Standard Session clients choose 5 images and Extended Session clients choose 10 images. One selected photograph is also chosen for the included 8×6 professional print.
RAW files, unfinished photographs and rejected images are not supplied.
Turnaround
Most sessions are completed in approximately 2–4 weeks, provided image and print selections are made promptly.
Personal Use & Copyright
Finished photographs are supplied for personal use. Copyright remains with Barry Henderson Photography. Commercial or business use requires separate permission or licensing.
These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
