Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to photography sessions, digital photographs, prints and related services supplied by Barry Henderson Photography.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Photography Packages

Standard Session — £155: up to 60 minutes, 5 professionally edited digital photographs, one 8×6 professional print, private online gallery and travel within 10 miles of Corby Hill, Cumbria.

Extended Session — £195: up to 90 minutes, 10 professionally edited digital photographs, one 8×6 professional print, private online gallery and travel within 10 miles of Corby Hill, Cumbria.

Booking & Payment

A £50 booking deposit secures the agreed session date and forms part of the total session price. The remaining balance is payable on the day once the session is confirmed as going ahead.

Cancellations, Weather & Animal Welfare

With at least 24 hours' notice, a booking deposit can normally be transferred to one alternative agreed date. Where less than 24 hours' notice is given or a client does not attend, an appropriate amount of the deposit may be retained to reflect reasonable costs or losses.

Unsuitable weather and genuine animal illness, injury, lameness or welfare concerns may be dealt with by rearranging the session and transferring the booking deposit.

Safety & Responsibility

Safety and animal welfare take priority. Barry Henderson Photography may pause, alter, refuse or stop a setup or session if circumstances are unsafe. Owners and handlers remain responsible for the control and welfare of their animals.

Session Duration

Standard Sessions provide up to 60 minutes and Extended Sessions up to 90 minutes. Reasonable flexibility is allowed when working with animals. Significant additional time or an upgrade will be agreed before proceeding.

Travel

Travel is calculated using the one-way distance from Corby Hill, Cumbria to the agreed session location.

Up to 10 miles — included
Over 10–20 miles — £15
Over 20–30 miles — £25
Over 30 miles — individually quoted

Group & Yard Bookings

Where two or more clients book individual photography sessions at the same yard, venue or agreed immediate location on the same day, one applicable travel charge may be shared equally between the confirmed bookings.

Each participant remains an individual client of Barry Henderson Photography and books their own Standard or Extended Session. A booking is confirmed once the £50 booking deposit has been paid. Only confirmed bookings are included when calculating the shared travel charge.

Shared travel charges are finalised 48 hours before the first session. Once finalised, an individual client's agreed travel share will not increase because another participant subsequently cancels.

The shared travel arrangement applies to sessions taking place at the same location. Where additional travel between separate locations is requested, any additional travel charge will be discussed and agreed before that additional travel takes place.

Proof Gallery & Client Selection

Barry Henderson Photography professionally reviews and culls each session before photographs are shown. No fixed number of proof photographs is guaranteed.

Standard Session clients select 5 images and Extended Session clients select 10 images. The client also selects one chosen image for the included professional print.

The private proof gallery is normally available for 21 days.

Editing & RAW Files

Selected photographs are finished in the established style of Barry Henderson Photography. RAW files, unfinished files, rejected photographs and working files are not supplied.

Extensive manipulation outside normal professional editing may be quoted separately.

Additional Digital Images

Additional professionally edited digital photographs cost £15 each or 5 for £60. Payment is required before additional files are released.

Prints

Additional professional prints are currently priced at: 8×6 — £15, 12×8 — £25 and 18×12 — £40.

Each Standard and Extended Session includes one 8×6 professional print. If an 8×6 crop would compromise the selected photograph, an appropriate alternative format will be discussed.

Collection is free. Royal Mail tracked delivery is £5 per order where the standard delivery option is appropriate.

Turnaround

Most sessions are completed in approximately 2–4 weeks, provided the client makes image and print selections reasonably promptly. Delayed selections may extend the overall completion time.

Personal Use & Copyright

Finished photographs supplied under personal sessions may be used for personal purposes, including personal printing and personal social-media use.

Commercial Use

Commercial or business usage is not included in personal-session pricing. Business, advertising, marketing, sales-promotion or other commercial use requires separate permission and may require a separate licence or quotation.

Portfolio Use

Clients may separately be asked for permission to use selected photographs on the Barry Henderson Photography website, portfolio or social-media channels. Permission is optional and will not affect price or service.

Appropriate parent or guardian permission is required before identifiable photographs of children or young riders are used for promotional purposes.

Technical Failure

Reasonable professional precautions are taken when capturing, storing and handling photographic files. If a significant technical failure or loss occurs, the appropriate remedy will be considered in light of the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

Complaints

Please contact Barry Henderson Photography promptly if you believe there is a problem with a session, digital photograph, print, payment or other part of the service.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Barry Henderson Photography Privacy Notice.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
